Coos Bay, Oregon

Coos Bay is located roughly 110 miles north of the Oregon/California border on the scenic Oregon coast. Along with neighboring North Bend, it is the commercial hub of the region. It also serves as a base of operations for visitors intent on partaking of a wide variety of outdoor activities available in the surrounding area, such as fishing, hunting, boating, surfing, hiking, scuba diving, wind surfing, clamming, camping, horseback riding, beachcombing, swimming, dune riding, picnicking, and sightseeing.
Featuring a mild Mediterranean climate, it seldom gets cold enough to snow in Coos Bay, and when it does the snowfall is minimal and melts within hours. In summer it almost never rains and temperatures rarely exceed the high sixties. A growing number of RV snowbirds from Canada and northern states over-winter in Coos Bay due to its comparatively warm temperatures.
