Fire Season
Its official, the fire season in Southwest Oregon has ended. Tom Fields, spokesperson for the Coos Forest Protective Association, says they officially ended it at 5 p.m., Oct. 10th. Significant recent rainfall and cooler weather prompted the decision. Industrial fire precautions are no longer in effect and outdoor debris burning is allowed without permit outside the incorporated cities within the district. Residents should contact their local fire department before conducting any burning, however. The CFPA suppressed 73 fires that burned 19-acres this year within the district.
Timber funds
The federal reauthorizing of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act of 2000 was good news to Oregon’s counties hit hard by the loss of funds four years ago. However, the money coming to the state’s timber dependant communities will be less than what they received previously. Former Curry County Commissioner Rocky McVay, now with the Association of O&C Counties, says the counties can expect to receive 90-percent this year of the amount they received in 2006 when the Act was extended by Congress. In 2009, they will get 81-percent, followed by 73-percent in 2010 and 40 to 50-percent during the final year. U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, who championed the legislation through Congress, says he wants to form a coalition of federal, state and county officials to start working on the future of the Act now.
Marine Reserves
Now that the process of identifying potential Marine Reserves sites off the Coast of Oregon has begun, a grassroots effort involving local fishermen to become active in the process is underway. The Oregon Anglers have sent an email out to members asking them to write members of the Ocean Policy Advisory Council, or O-PAC, to protect traditional fishing grounds. An email from Dennis Richey & Fred VanNatta asks the members to write about their objections to the Cape Arago/Coos Bay proposal that will end fishing within a designated Marine Reserve boundary. “It amounts to a fatal economic blow to the area. It takes the most productive reef area in the state, and puts it permanently out of use by fishermen, scientists, and educators (many classes use it for field trips.).” They also ask the members to support the Depoe Bay proposal off the Central Oregon Coast.
Residency
Those seeking hunting and fishing licenses in Oregon will no longer have to show identification to establish residency. The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission last Friday changed the proof-of-residency requirements. “By signing a license document, the applicant attests the residency information provided is true and correct.” The Commission also approved nearly $230,000 in funding for eight Restoration and Enhancement projects that improve fishing opportunities or enhance fisheries in Oregon.
Big Game
Dates for next year’s Big Game hunts have been established by the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission. General season dates for Coast buck deer season: Oct. 3-Nov. 6; Coast Elk: first season Nov. 14-17; second season Nov. 21-27; Archery: Aug. 29-Sept. 27; Black Bear: Aug. 1-Nov. 30 in Eastern Oregon and through Dec. 31 in Western Oregon. The SW Oregon Spring Bear Hunt was changed from a controlled hunt to a “Limited,” first-come, first-served season with a limit on the number of tags that will be authorized for sale.

Can Cancer Be Caused By A Fungus Called Candida?
By Walt "dr health" Edwards
Conventional medicine likes to focus on the impact of genetics as a causative agent in
developing cancer, despite the fact that research indicates that genetics is not the main
cause of this widespread phenomenon, even though it may play a small role in some people.
Unfortunately, little attention is paid to the impact of plain and simple infections.
Dr. Simoncini's research has led him to believe that something as simple as a fungus, Candida,
is the leading cause of cancer; that cancer itself is in fact a fungus. What we refer to as a
tumor, is nothing more than your body's attempt at protecting itself from that fungus.
He brings up an analogy between psoriasis - an "incurable" disease of the skin that many treat
as a fungus - and tumors, which are also an "incurable" disease of your body have linked the
presence of Candida with cancer, showing that anywhere between 79 to 97 percent of all cancer
patients also have Candida. For more information about this interesting connection between
fungus and cancer check out
www.cancerisafungus.com.
If Cancer is a Fungus, Then What is the Cure? In the video, Dr. Simoncini shows actual
before-and-after footage of both bronchial cancer and colon cancer. Four days after his
revolutionary and mind-blowingly simple treatment for bronchial cancer with a sodium
bicarbonate and water flush, the tumors are gone!
Sodium bicarbonate, a.k.a baking soda, is the most potent anti-fungal substance there is. The
problem with anti-fungal drugs, however, is that fungi are extremely adaptive, and can adapt to
a new environment in three to four days. This renders anti-fungal drugs largely ineffective.
The fungi do not adapt to the baking soda, but it is far more difficult to use as it needs to
be injected directly into the tumor; swallowing the baking soda would not work at all.
Another Explanation About Cancer! Rogue cancer cells have the ability to become invisible and
therefore overcome our immune system defenses. This superpower helps it invade other regions
of the body. Internally, we become a playground for cancerous infection and disease.
Fortunately, anyone can overcome it.
To beat rogue cancer cells, you need to eliminate their ability to become invisible. What
keeps cancer cells out of sight from your immune system? Trophoblast cells. You can expose
cancer for what it is - deadly - by boosting your pancreatic enzymes. Pancreatic enzymes
eliminate trophoblast cells and thus reveal any underlying cancer cells to
your "immunity radar" for eventual eradication. Besides pancreatic enzymes, other helpful
supplements to eliminate trophoblast cells are AHCC which is a proprietary mushroom compound
with three powerful cellular defense nutrients--selenium, tocotrienols and gamma
vitamin E. SerraPhase is an all-natural, potent systemic protein
enzyme--serratiopeptidase--that supports the body's normal inflammation response. Curcumin
also known as tumeric, and bromelaine are known to reduce inflammation.
INTRODUCING A NEW LINE OF SUPPLEMENTS WWW.GETWEL.COM
This new line of supplements will be available at The Health Gallery. Ultimate Digest Enzymes
and Ultimate Gluco Support contain unique combination of ingredients that are known to be
helpful for digestion and controlling blood sugar.
Ultimate Digest Enzymes... Digestive distress such as heartburn, indigestion, sour stomach,
flatulence (gas), nausea, bloating, and belching, all of which can be physically uncomfortable,
and can interfere with our activity levels. Anumber of medications, both over-the-counter and
prescriptions, are typically recommended. Unfortunately, these types of drugs have many
potential adverse side effects both short and long-term. Rolaids and Tums are taken to relieve
an upset stomach to neutralize stomach acid. However, stomach acid is required to digest
protein to provide the building blocks your cell tissue needs.
Besides producing the unpleasant heartburn, indigestion, etc., undigested protein can disrupt
the normal function of a healthy digestive track and result in "bleeding gut" condition as well
as cause allergy problems.
The obvious solution is Ultimate Digest Enzymes that aids the digestion of protein,
carbohydrates and fats. The amount of digestion provided by each capsule is on the label
which enables the user to judge the number of capsules needed to ensure efficient digestion
for each meal.
Ultimate Gluco Support... People have become addicted to sweets. Consumption of sugar products
leads to a host of dreaded diseases like insulin resistance, heart disease, diabetes and even
cancer. Today, many foods are adulterated with some type of sweetener. The reasoning is
simple; sweet flavors increase sales. When consumed, sweets elicit a chemical cascade of
events that lead to the triggering of feel-good receptors within our brain. If this happens
repeatedly, an emotional bond between happiness and sweets is formed. You have become addicted
to sugar! Your health is being sacrificed for the sugar addiction.
To help those individuals who wish to reduce the craving of sweets and help control their over
all blood sugar there is Ultimate Gluco Support which contains herbs and nutrients
specifically to control blood sugar and preventing the spiking of insulin. Ultimate Gluco
Support can also help you maintaining a low-carb diet for weight loss.
The Master Antioxidant... Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) has been considered the master
antioxidant. It is unique in that, unlike any other antioxidant, ALA is both fat and water
soluble; thereby allowing it to operate in all environments in the body. ALA inhibits
the "hydroxyl radical." The hydroxyl radical is considered to be the most damaging of the
free radicals due to its ability to initiate heart disease.
Adding to the myriad of benefits, ALA regenerates other antioxidants like vitamin C and
vitamin E, thus helping to prevent a deficiency in any one of these vital nutrients. ALA also
maintains and even increases our bodies' own antioxidant: glutathione. Glutathione's best
attribute is its ability to protect us from cancer. Glutathione is the chief detoxifier for
the human body. Through a process known as "conjugation" it attaches to deadly chemicals and
escorts them out of the body and into the toilet.
Thought For The Day! It is also true that pain is an excellent motivator. Often it is pain,
whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual, that pushes us back on the road to good
health by making us stop in our tracks, look at where we are going and change course, or take
some other kind of corrective action. You may have heard the saying, "When it hurts more to
suffer than change, you will change!" -- From Body Talk by Rachelle Gordon.
