There is a saying:"Have faith, though it be only in a
stone, and you'll recover..."
As gadgets go, the pendulum is extremely useful and has
been so since even before the wheel was invented. Legend has it that it
was the inventor of the pendulum who also invented the wheel. Practically
speaking, while the pendulum's uses are limited only to what we are yet
unable to imagination, Dr. Deepak Chopra experiments with the idea our
minds have the literal power to move objects, so the pendulum as an
object to move is a starting point in developing the mind's strength.
First through minimal awareness in focusing on both our mind that we
should have intimate contact with when, as they say, we're together, and
onto an object and making it move as a direct result of exercising the
power of the mind. Deepak Chopra's experiment (as demonstrated on the
Oprah show) goes something like this:
He first suggests that the
pendulum be held between the thumb and forefinger, rest the elbow on the
knee (or a table top). Then mentally have the idea that the pendulum is
moving back and forth (say from east to west). Once it starts moving
back and forth in the desired direction, change the idea in your mind
that instead of swinging in that direction (east and west), instead
it is swinging in another direction (north and south). After it does
it, mentally have the idea it is swinging in a circle, and when it
begins in a clockwise or counterclockwise movement, have the idea that
it is swinging in wider and wider circles. While the pendulum is still
swinging in its wider circles direction, have the idea that its direction
is reversing from clockwise to counterclockwise or visa versa.
The experiment works because expectancy determines outcome. As long as
you're not attached to the (expected) outcome, the (expected) outcome
will be guaranteed. In the real deal world, by simply having a handle
on penduluming longer range weather forecasting than is offered by the
weather services is entirely possible. Finding lost or hidden treasure
is a pendulum claim to relevance. Getting answers to yes and no questions
is a breeze with pendulum in hand. Knowing just exactly how many tablets
or capsules of any food supplement or medicinal herb to take is simply a
matter of holding the pendulum over any number of such tabs or caps and
letting the pendulum do its thing, or learning if one should even ingest
the substance or not is just a matter of watching the pendulum swing
(back and forth - east or west might mean yes or no; north and south
might mean no or yes, or more or less. A circular swinging clockwise
might mean there is no answer, and some say, a swinging of the pendulum
counter clockwise means it doesn't want to answer that question.
One must feel out the pendulum and determine how you and the stone do
together; either to learn its language or to train it to learn yours.
These things take time. Maybe as much as a minute or two, or as little
time as your first time out. Oprah caught on in less than 30 seconds.
Holding the pendulum lightly by the handle at the end of the chain,
and directing its swing with the idea of the stone moving, you can begin
to learn how it is, and how it is you react and choose to interact
or not. Set your own rules. Make north and south mean "yes" for example.
Concentrate on yes, holding the pendulum very still and then watch it
happen. Same for no. Same for there is no answer, if you believe it's
that easy, and clockwise or counterclockwise for it not answering at all.
One thing that is interesting though, for amateur magicians or mind-readers
is that the pendulum will generally swing in a circular manner when held
over the hand of a woman and/or north and south and east and west when
held over a man's hand.
The pendulum can also serve as a lie detector
for anyone except those who could beat a lie detector anyway. Techniques
can be developed for all kinds of guessing games - horse races, the
lottery; the stock market. Making a decision about what color to paint
your house or car, or on who to date and what to expect, or who not to
date or when to take a trip or not. Problem with someone throwing a
skunk into your horseshoe pit? With the pendulum, techniques may be
developed on learning who the culprit might have been using the alphabet,
and developing strategies on what to do about it might come in a
moment of honest meditation and practice with the pendulum. There is no
hocus pocus here. Say you are having trouble with members of a local
fraternal or business-promotion organization that even though you are
a member they don't promote your business, or because you aren't a member,
they throw roadblocks in the way of your doing business. Send an
anonymous (pendulum) gift to the president of the organization
(without this booklet, of course). The results will amaze you. The
results will amaze your friends. The results will make the bad guys
wonder what the hell is going on. Or, if you want to be in love with
someone who not only doesn't love you but in fact thinks he or she is
in love with someone else altogether...
Techniques may be developed as
were alluded to the in the skunk and horse shoe pit scenario, or
anonymously send a pendulum to the one you care about's lover, and to
the one you love. Wait a few days. You'll definitely get results.
Pendulums are not necessary in carrying out one's will over another.
People do it all the time, with just one look, that's all it took was
just one look. Others just say a word here or there. The pendulum
however gives the wearer or holder an opportunity to check his or her
own conscience before ever getting involved in most any unpleasant
situation in the first place, and if there is a way out of such a
situation, the pendulum has the means, in that it doesn't care, and that
because it's only a rock on a length of chain with a small silver ring for
a handle. The pendulum's only relation to the Creator is that it was
created. It has no creative power of its own. It can at best recreate
as in recreation, and amusement.
All the ingredients must be there
(in conscious thought) when working the pendulum (handle, chain and stone)
to affect or effect anything. In the idea, you can think of the rock as
the song, theme or a chant, reverberating within the bounds of the
(actual) non-conceptual universe, the closest thing in physics to that
which is actually created and infinite at the same time. The logic here
is that the universe doesn't have edges, whereas the Yin-Yang
(no relation) as demonstrated does. It's good to know the difference.
The reverb chant continues for the moment within the conceptual idea or
reality of time, i.e., also without beginning or end, unlike life time
as we know it. The chain may be thought and thought of as the link, which
it is, to the stone (idea), and to the small ring, a handle on which to
hold but not direct from. The rest is left to the imagination. For your
information and amusement.
