MINERAL COMPLEX ZINC is an antioxidant; necessary for protein
synthesis; is an essential mineral needed for proper growth and
development as well as wound healing, and immunity to various infections.
ZINC governs the contractibility of muscles; important for blood
stability; useful in the prevention and treatment of arthritis; maintains
the body¹s alkaline balance; In adequate amounts, ZINC can shorten cold
and flu episodes by as much as a week, and can be used to treat sexual
disorders, helps normal tissue function, and thereby aids in the proper
growth of sexual organs. ZINC promotes sexual maturity and is needed for
specifically maintaining a normally functioning prostate gland. ZINC aids
in the digestion and metabolism of phosphorus. White spots on
fingernails, retarded growth, stretch marks, fatigue, slow mental
reaction (decreased alertness) and susceptibility to infections result
from ZINC deficiencies. LEAN BEEF, CHEESE, WHITE CHICKEN MEAT, CLAMS,
CRAB, LIVER, NUTS, OYSTERS, POULTRY, WHEAT GERM and YOGURT are good
sources of ZINC. The USRDA for ZINC is 15 mgs. (Also see: ALOE VERA).
